The new swell has been in since last sunday and it looks like as if it gonna last till the weekend. The peak was on Monday/Tuesday and it was a really good session with strong current during those days. Today it dropped a bit but it will be still good for beginners to learn during this weekend. At the same time there’s a surf competition at Tioman Island so Cheratingpoint will be empty as most of the guys and fella’s are going for the surf competition. If you have time just head down to Juara Tioman and have a look.
As for today it’s friday again and some of our students already arrived yesterday. Really good they had an exclusive session this morning and you can check it out on our Instagram! For those who are coming for their surf packages and single surf lessons, have a safe journey and see you tomorrow morning in class.

It’s already Thursday middle of the week and the next weekend is already around the corner again! The entire New Year weekend was busy again for us here at Cheratingpoint surf school. We had students from KL, expats from France, Singaporeans, a Korean family with their kids, a Japanese family and some longterm customers. The swell lasted all over the festive season of Christmas and New Year and so everybody, our instructors as well as the students, were happy and satisfied. The monsoon rain didn’t show up again during these days and so we had sunny hot days on the beach. Unique raining season where you really have to take care of any sunburns! Since last Monday the swell took a break and also the local surfers and our instructors had a chill out week. But as it looks like we will be blessed with the next waves by tomorrow! So please come over and join us for your personal surfing experience…
Have a safe journey for whom heading here and see you at the Line-up!
2015 is about to end and we hope all our customers had a good one & are looking forward positively to a new one ahead! It was a really good year for us at Cheratingpoint surf School. The number of our students is meanwhile increasing every year. Big thank’s to the “Cherating boys – our surf instructors” who are giving 200% of their effort to teach all our students in a satisfying way, who come here to experience the Malaysian surfing scene.
The current swell is picking up now everyday and during the New Year’s celebration we are expecting a lot of surfers in the village throughout the weekend.
Thank’s to everyone for the support & we hope to see a lot of our students next year again, continuing to practise their surfing skills.
So there’s only left to say…Happy New Year to everyone! Have fun and respect each other in and outside the water! Cheers to 2016…

Christmas Weekend’s Surf session with our Student.
last week the swell kicked in on Thursday and kept on going over the weekend. Our students had not the easiest conditions to get their first surfing experiences due to the strong current. But everyone was highly motivated and tried his/her best. Beside a French family from KL we had some local customers from KL as well. They all were really satisfied with our Cherating local instructors who gave their best to make very one of them happy and bring back a good memory of their first surfing experiences in Malaysia. We hope to see you all again! Keep on practising and enjoy the water time!
