We are officially open for Monsoon Season 2018/2019

Hello to every one,

Are you ready for the monsoon season 18/19? Because we are!

 

After the calm and quiet off-season we jumped right into monsoon with some small swells and many new students at the beginning of November. We started the season officially at the 9th of November and CheratingPoint surf school welcomed a bunch of motivated and fresh newbies. The weekend was full of perfect beginner waves and even intermediate surfers had the chance to ride long and smooth waves. For the next week we will expect another swell brining perfect conditions to surf at the east coast of Malaysia We are stoked for the monsoon season 18/19 and cannot wait for more swells hitting the coast of Cherating.

CheratingPoint is the oldest and biggest surf school in Malaysia and has been established in 2008. We connect our professional attitude with lots of fun and we will make sure that you will never forget your first surf experience. Our instructors are all well trained, local surfers which convey village and beach vibes with their knowledge about surfing. It is our pleasure to create a memorable experience for you and get you a closer look to a surfer’s life and attitude – eat, surf, sleep!

Late February 2018 surfing lesson session.

Good Afternoon to all,

We are facing the last corner of the monsoon season 2017/18 by now and we are glad that our customers on the last February weekend had gentle waves to play with. Especially for the kids it is important that the conditions are not too rough. Beside a French family, we had some Germans,Chile, local Chinese from KL  and a girl from Finland.

As it is towards end of Monsoon the weather is mostly hot and sunny. At the moment we are waiting for the most probably last swell of the season. It is expected to come in by Thursday and should last throughout the weekend, hopefully until middle of next week. After that the sea will be calm and the surfboards can rest until the new season will start in November again. So for those, who don’t want to wait until the end of the year to get to know what it means to ride a wave, better hurry up and book your package or surf lessons for this coming weekend asap.

Surf lesson session, weekend and weekdays 9-10th December 2017 at CheratingPoint Surf School

Morning Every one,

Been more then a month we open now and it look like non stop with our surf lesson everyday no mater weekdays or weekend.Been running well since re-opening with few good swell as well.Look like new solid ground swell is rolling-in in this few days starting from (18thDecember 2017).We had lot’s of fun time with all our student and most of them heading back home with big smile on the face.As you know that we here to share “Malaysian surfing experience” .As I personally will do all the theory/lesson in class.

Surf update for 15th Feb 2017 at Cherating Beach + Photo’s update for Cheratingpoint Surf School

Good day everyone,

This morning’s surf was really fun. Cherating 1st point was a good 4 foot, clean, glassy and barreling during low to mid tide. Definitely the best session at 1st point in a couple of years. Wave condition is better today now that the wind has backed off slightly. Yesterday’s surf was really fun too with overhead sets and strong current! It’s been a great week of swell so far everyone!

The swell condition for this weekend looks to be mellowing down and will be perfect for surf lessons! Here’s some photos of our students having loads of fun last week and the previous week. It looks like we are already headed towards the tail end of this season’s monsoon so book your lessons with us now to enjoy the waves. There will probably be another 2-3 weeks of waves left before we say adios amigos to what has been a wonderful season again. Stay stoked and see you all soon!

Good Morning All,

“In advance Happy chinese New Year”

Friday 5th Feb, And the swell slowly pumping and look will be a good weekend again.Now 6.30am and there’s no sign of wind at the moment and looking forward to have early morning session.Grind and boil some fresh coffee and again thank’s to Mr Marko Dylan for supplying new badge of Coffee bean’s.Nothing can beat this having fresh grinded coffee in Cherating.Well it’s weekend again and look like quite busy again this week.

Wave is pumping and looking good through the weekend.Will last till next week and to bad we will closed our operation Few days on 12th-14th February 2016 due to “Trengganu Surfing cup 2016″ Most of our instructor will be entering the competition and we are fully support this event. Sorry guys we dint make it to Tioman surfing competition due there’s lots of student and surf packages on that weekend.Who ever already did the booking on that day, theres stand by instructor will take care for the weekend.

Fuhh to much bla-ha-ha…and it’s not my” cup of tea” For those coming today /this weekend ….looking forward to have you guys here at our surf school and safe journey here.

Good morning all,

The last weekend was busy here in Cherating as the swell/wave was in on Friday.Was fun session with our student and every one was really happy at the end of the day.Matahari guest house was full house and the cherating village was pack with surfer from all sort of places.Yesterday were extended sunday and most of Cheratingpoint surf school instructor make a small trips up north.Was a really long day and super stoked! Lessons

The duration of one lesson is 1.5 hrs and includes the equipment rental plus 1 hour additional private use.

Individual : RM 120 per lesson
Group : RM 110 per person – (up to 3 pax), Rm 100 per person – (3 pax and above)

Surf Newcomer Weekend Package

3 surf lessons ,Surf board rental included, plus 3 hours additional private use, Accommodation for 2 nights in a standard fan room, One memory photo of the first time standing on the board.
