The Thaipusam and Wilayah holidays was a busy, long weekend for us at Cheratingpoint. After the visit of almost 60 students from the French School in Kuala Lumpur middle of January, now quite a few of them decided to come over with their families for a short weekend getaway. During the whole week throughout the weekend there were good waves here in Cherating. Most of the students had fun as usual and left the water with a big smile on their faces at the end of the session. Now the first week of february has passed by already, which means that the “end of season clock” is ticking louder and louder. Just more or less one month to go for the surf season 2017/18 here in Malaysia.
Chinese New Year is around the corner and we are expecting that it’s gonna be another busy weekend here in Cherating. So please book your surf packages and surf lessons in advance as there might be lots of people and the motto is: First come, first served. The forecast for this coming weekend looks really good for the beginners and the new swell is expected to be in by early next week. Perhaps during the Chinese New Year we will be having good waves as well.
