7th January2013 fresh water prawn fishing.

Hi,

Other then surfing at Cheratingpoint there also other thing can do. In fact the prawn season in cherating river already started for few week.Last week was raining a lot and  good swell to.What we need after the rain and get sunny and hot day then it’s time for prawn fishing. After the surf, few of us  and our guest, went out deep in cherating river  for prawn fishing. Every body was happy for the day….Good surf in the morning with decent good swell and fun prawn fishing at the river and good dinner after a long day….

Good morning All,

Already been one week since the last swell that last just for 2-3 days of fun surf here in Cheratingpoint.So mean while still enjoying morning fresh good coffee the time waiting for the new swell.

  

  

Well can’t do anything it all depend to mother nature.Lots of phone call and email from people that wanna come these weekend….sorry guys it still flat and yeah….nothing much of surfing in these few days.From the forecast “magic seaweed” it look promising for next week.New swell will push in later next week.

Theres few things can do while there no surf.Firefly watching and river cruising can fill up your activities while your time here.For more information just visit Payung guest house or Look for Hafiz, they do the trips. For thoes who like to fish can try fishing at cherating river and who know if you have  good luck might catch some mangrove jack or  Barramundi.

March O march….

Good morning Cherating and good day for all!!

It seems as if we are going towards the end of Monsoon here in Malaysia. It was not a bad season at all. Late November and December were really consistent, with lots of swell….and also the Quiksilver Batu Buruk Surf competition in Kuala Terengganu and afterwards the Billabong Cherating Competition were successful. At the moment it’s flat in Cherating.
Four weeks we were away from Cherating, travelling to Thailand and spending some time in KL and it’s enough now.  Good to be back here again and enjoying the laid back Cherating. Nice to have our normal Cherating breakfast at Matahari Guest house…..Sheila’s Place….with good fresh coffee beans…..sedaaaap!!!

In these few day’s was good fishing at Cherating river.Went out few days a go and had few fish….we might go out to the sea fishing also in these few days…..

A medium size Barramundi at cherating river…1.8kg and 1.4kg

For those who e-mail and call regarding the swell at the moment in Cherating….its still flat and calm.But any way there lots of stuff still can do around cherating…watching the firefly at the evening,Cruising the river….enven can go the waterfall…Chemerong water fall. about 1.5 hrs driving from cherating…..

it look like there slide small swell roll-in next monday…hope fully we can have the swell as the last surf for these year….who knows if we lucky enuff.For those who looking for the last surf in the season stay tune for more update.cheers..
