We were pleased with some pleasant waves for beginners since last Thursday and it’s still lasting. All students had a great time and could build up some confidence in the water and with the waves. For us small swells are the best to teach and forward some knowledge to our guests.
Once you have completed the basic knowledge about surfing incl. awareness in the water, rules while riding or trying to take a wave, looking at the current and the right spot to be, pop up on the board and positioning yourself correctly on it etc. Then you’re ready to practise on your own. And the rest is up to you…what you might achieve or not!
We’re simply here to guide you on your path and be happy to share our knowledge with you!

January has passed by so fast that the New Year’s & Christmas celebrations feel already quite far away. Anyway, all the students this month had really good conditions waiting for them once they arrived here for their little surf getaway.
All our guests from overseas, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore were able to achieve some decent first rides and of course don’t forget the fun factor and laughter at the same time.
But nevertheless every season comes to an end and so we have 1 more month to go before we gonna close the monsoon chapter of 2019/20. So for those who are still keen to give it a try, hurry up and book your slot with us!
Our closing weekend will be 29th February-1st March 2020! So either see you around til then or the latest next season – from November 2020 onwards we will be back…
Was a busy weekend and the wave start to picking up.This week was good as the swell start to kick in on wednesday.Early morning session was slow/high tide and really good around 10/11am mid tide.The last weekend was good, we have lots of student and was really busy since last friday and trough the weekend. This coming weekend will be a surf competition at Cherating organised by the Tourism Malaysia.Head up to cherating and have a look at the competition.Any way here some few shots from the last weekend and hope we still have the swell for this coming weekend as well.Good luck to all contestant for the comp. The entire last week was good session at Cherating.Tuesday morning was the first day of the swell head/shoulder height and clean in the morning.It last till friday and the weekend the swell drop and look like these week again waiting period for the next swell.As usual morning session at the point will be lots of people as in noon completely empty.Current condition in cherating mid to low tide session was ok not to bad!!any way here some shots the entire surf lesson with our student from weekdays and also weekend.The week was busy and lots of student having fun as well.Come and learn to surf with Cheratingpoint surf school,where our local instructor among the top’s surfer in Malaysia!!

SURFING LESSONS FOR ALL LEVELS (Beginners)

If you want to look your best on your board and impress your friends on the beach, you’ll want to hang with us for a bit longer! We want you to enjoy surfing, to have positive experiences and progressively learn skills that will help you love surfing as much as we do. Surfing is easy to learn when you’re in the right space.
Course Details
Whether you’re an individual determined to get up on that Cherating beach wave, a group of friends or family wanting your own personal surfing experience, or a more experienced surfer needing some feedback on technique, our surf lessons give you that extra attention to detail and a dedicated coach to work with. We’ll set some goals, determine your current level, and if you’re an absolute beginner we’ll get you safely up and onto your first wave before you’ve had time to worry about falling off. If you’ve been surfing before, we’ll help you move onto the next steps a lot faster by focusing on technique, board control and bringing out your natural ability.

Beginners who’ve been bitten by the surfing bug and want to improve fast.
Kids who are showing talent or who respond better to one-to-one learning.
Families wanting to play as a group.
Work groups up for a bit of bonding.
Party groups who want to keep the fun rolling.

About your surf lesson:
Small group (maximum of 6) one instructor : 2 student
Taught by friendly, hand-picked local surf coaches
Covers all the basics: from warm-up, to paddling, to catching waves and standing
In case you haven’t heard Cherating is a very fun place at weekends coupled with possibly the best surf in Malaysia. If you want to get the full feel of the Surfing Capital of Malaysia you have the option to immerse your self in a full Basic Weekend Surf Package, including surf and accommodation or just book the Surf Course itself. The weekends suit everyone from couples to groups or if you’re alone hang with everybody else!
But if you prefer it more quiet, there is as well the possibility to take a Mid Week Surf Course.
Our goal is to teach everyone to surf in a safe, secure environment, and help them gain confidence in their abilities while having a great time in the outdoors.

The surfing season in Cherating has ended and so we’re closing our surf school for a while. We like to say thank you to everyone for visiting Cheratingpoint and we hope to see you again during the next monsoon! We will be open again end of October, for the exact date please check our website few weeks before or just send us an Email! Until then have a good time & just enjoy whatever you do and enjoy Cherating.

Thank god it’s Friday again.Been long time dint have rain and this morning was raining a bit.At the moment it high tides and looking forward to go out during the mid-tides.Any way the swell is here again 4.5ft good enough for those who wanna learn to surf.The forecast for the weekend is looking good .
